The second boy was born in January we had one of the largest blizzards for 20 years. She woke me up at about one o’clock in the morning and says, “I think it’s time,” and looked out and there was about two feet of snow.
So, first thing I called the State Patrol to see how the roads were because we lived about four or five miles from the hospital.
They said, “We don’t know because there is nobody on the roads!”
So, he said, “Well, I’ll send a snowplow your way.”
We told him where we lived. So we got ready and I shoveled the driveway out so we could get to the road and I saw the snowplow coming but he didn’t know exactly where we lived and he passed so I tried to chase him down. When I caught him he turned around and he got stuck.
So we headed back into Findlay and he said if we stayed on the roads we’d be okay. So he called for another snowplow, so we met the second snowplow about half way in and he turned around and he was plowing and he ran in the ditch. So we lost the second snow plow!
We made it into Findlay then and we got down the main street and there was a policeman there so he escorted us the rest of the way into the hospital.
Yeah, so that was probably the most exciting times you remember in that part of my life.
