Colleen: I am Colleen Witham Niswander. I grew up in the country. I have 11 brothers and sisters. I was born in Pleasant View, around Beaver Dam between Beaver Dam and Lima in Ohio in 1916. Well, my father was an orphan and his name is Jerry Morris Witham and wealthy people took him to raise down around Hared.

Naomi: What was their name?

Colleen: John Jacobs, and he was raised around Hared. He met my mother Laura Bell Snider and they were married in…I don’t remember how many years ago do you?

Naomi: I don’t either.

Colleen: They lived around Pleasant View, Ohio. Between Beaver Dam and Lima and that’s where we kids were raised.
