My Father Worked for Southern Pacific Railroad

I grew up at 386 Wilde Avenue near South San Francisco. We lived there for five years. My father worked for the southern Pacific railroad; it was the only job he ever had. He married my mom. He had been previously married but his first wife died. He had two children Gloria and Carl.

He met my mother who had been previously married and he had one child, JeNeil Jensen. They married and had me in 1945. We lived there until 1950.

Then my father was transferred to the southern Pacific railroad station in Santa Clara. It’s ironic that I live less than a mile away from where he worked.
