My Work Schedule Limited our Leisure Time

Well, vacations were kind of hard to come by because of the company’s commitments, so basically during my working years the most time you would get would be between Christmas and New Year’s holiday.

It wasn’t until after my retirement that we were able to do a little traveling to the southern states and the western states, up the eastern states and things like that.

I don’t think neither one of us ever had any real desire to go to Hawaii or European countries or anything like that.

We moved here to Findlay in 1990 and we expected that we’d be able to do a little bit more traveling but that didn’t materialize because my wife’s health didn’t allow it. So, we just were content to be as close to family as we could.

We regretted the fact that we had to leave the Green Bay area where we had a lot of our friends, and her family and one thing or another, but as of the present time all of our close family has departed and there only remains some nieces and nephews now.
