My husband never liked to travel. After he got home from the service he hated traveling, but that never stopped me from going. I love to cruise. I’m going on another cruise this coming May. I’m going to Alaska with my sister and her husband. This will be the third time to Alaska. I’ve also been through the Panama Canal, down the Mexican Riviera, over to the Caribbean, and next spring we will go to the Bahamas. We all went to Hawaii for thanksgiving. That was fun; we had all the kids there.

When the kids were younger we used to go down to Los Angeles quite a bit. We’d just drag them along. The kids would go to Disneyland and whatever else is down there. But I don’t like L.A... At all. It’s just not my cup of tea. It’s so disorganized and it’s too crowded. As you land you can see the smog sitting on the city and that’s discouraging.

Stanley always wanted the kids to see the country. So we would start out early in the morning, travel all day and then stop the night before it got dark and find a hotel. That’s what we did. We just dragged the kids wherever we went.
