We did; Ruth and I and Janet, we did take some bus tours and that was fun, because when Bill was alive our thing was camping. That was all we could afford to do. Billy still camps to this day. He loves it. I think Andy sometimes done. You camp, you’ve got a little camper now, but we did the open tent thing where it took three men and a boy to get the tent raised up. So, it was fun!
No, we hadn’t got to travel much. Well, we did get to go for Natalie’s baptismal. That was our first bus tour.
We went to Texas when she was in Texas and the first grandbaby was born.
Then we went to Debbie’s once and that was Chicago. There was a train in Lima then; Amtrak, and we got on that and went up to Chicago and that was so neat because you had a trip tick in front of you and you could look out and it would say, “You are now passing this, and you are now passing that.”
You wouldn’t have known it if you didn’t have it pointed out to you, so that was really neat. So, then we had moved by this time to that house and Bill was starting to have a little trouble so he went part time. In fact, after his heart attack he was no longer supervisor. He went to where he measured out all the ingredients which was less stressful job. So stress really does play a part in heart.
