Career wise, I got my first patent in 1987, which was a big accomplishment for me. I also published some papers at that time. I also worked on a lot of interesting things.

The company I was working for was making a lot of chemical vapor deposition equipment and I was able to push forward the state of the art a little bit. I left there in 1990 and went to Novellus Systems, which is another semiconductor company.
