We got married out on Lloyd’s folk’s farm. We finally went to Cheyenne, Wyoming. It was there that my husband started to work for the airlines.
My Husband Works for the Airlines
In 1948 we were transferred out to San Francisco. We lived in Palo Alto, and then we moved to Menlo park. We used to live close to Menlo Atherton high school. All of my three kids graduated from there.
My husband used to work for United airlines in south San Francisco. He used to be in a carpool. They would take turns driving from Menlo park to the Airport. He had a good job
We buy a Motel
In 1962, we bought the star motel in Watsonville. We had 30 rooms. We had a huge job, because it hadn’t been taking care of. We put 100 gallons of paint in the rooms. We put in new carpets to. We got it all fixed up.
In 1972, we sold it to my daughter and my son – in – law. We moved to a mobile home in Watsonville on Bellanca Lane.
My husband got sick and he went to the convalescent home to valley Heights, and then he passed away about three years ago. Then I moved from valley Heights to 102-B Aegis. Then I got a bigger room, and I moved.
I really like it here, and they take good care of me.

The kids all graduated from Menlo Atherton high school. They all went to work, but I’ve forgotten what they work at.
