I got out with an honorable discharge and used my V. A. benefits to go to school for a while. I tried to go to college; I did the best I could, but it just wasn’t for me. I took business classes, marketing classes; you might say the minimum requirements. I never got a degree.

I found a job that I liked and I was with them for quite a long time. I was working as a grocery distributor. I liked the work and I liked the people. In fact, the last day of work there was in 2003.

It was a family owned company with about 80 employees, and it was the best job I ever had. The company was called Place and Gera. Mr. Gera and his brother – in – law started the company.

I was at this company for different times. They always took me back.
