Well, both my wife and I have been active, I think, in church.

In the early years before our marriage we both taught Sunday school, and during the interims of seeking new pastors and things like that. I have had the opportunity to be a church leader of sorts. I don’t know how I would be viewed as far as a religious individual is concerned.

My wonderful philosophy in life has always been that I hope that I never got too old that I couldn’t appreciate someone else’s point of view. And because of the nature of my employment whereby I was continually dealing with the public I think I used my religious background from the sermon that I heard on Sunday morning I tried to live that kind of life in my dealings with the public during the week.

Whether it was good or bad was hard to determine because it’s only your opinion. But, as you know, you interview some people and they are quite fluent with a choice of words with one thing or another, I think mine are primarily basics! (Laughs)
