I was raised a Lutheran and I’ve stayed in the Lutheran Church. My parents were; my father though he came from Southern Germany which is often Roman Catholic, was Protestant and that’s one thing he did faithfully every Sunday went to church.

We lived out south of Whiteville but we went to Deshler, Ohio to go to church. I grew up in the church until, well, now it’s been a number of years ago, I go here, Trinity, and I haven’t been completely faithful here. I go and then I don’t go and then I go again, but that is my religion. Where my father came from there were many Roman Catholics, but he had been raised Protestant.
