Faith is very important to me for the simple reason my mother, coming from a family of all preachers, she instilled that in us.  My dad was not so much.  He would go to church, but Mother was into everything.  She knew her bible.  So, she instilled that in us, so consequently, I took my boys to Sunday school every Sunday because dad had to work, and I taught Sunday school.
