I think I met my wife through a church affiliation. She was a city girl and I was a country boy. I guess that’s not a normal procedure in those years.
Her first name was Margaret. Her dad always called her Mugs or something like that. She was the oldest of a family of three girls and two boys. The boys were pretty much sportsmen as far as fishing and hunting and things like that, so I fit into that part of it pretty well. I fish.
We were married in 1935 and had a daughter, Jean, who was born in ’38 I think it was.
