63 Years of Marriage

I got married in ’42 in August. We were married 63 years when my wife passed away. She passed away in this facility over here too. That’s the reason I came here probably, I knew a few people and I knew the organization and thought this would be a good place to live.

We bought a little farm out here in ’62; about 60 acres out there, and I lived there until…well, my wife passed away two and a half years ago and I lived there until this fall and sold it to my niece and her husband and…We did a lot of traveling during our life. We went to the World’s Fair in Vancouver and I’ve been up in Washington, Oregon a couple times. My wife had a brother in Albuquerque so we were down there a couple times. I’ve got a neice in Denver and been out there a couple times.

We went up the east coast clear up to Nova Scotia one time; one summer. Never went much to the west coast other than up north.
