Her Name is Marilyn, but everyone Calls Her DeeDee

I got married in ’50; her name is Marilyn, but I call her DeeDee. The kids always called her DeeDee. We never had any kids; we lost the recipe.

Everybody called her DeeDee, so we just continued to call her DeeDee. Her sister had two girls and, well, one of them is married to Mel Wilcox’s son. When they were growing up they always would bring their friends to our house and they always called my wife “Aunt DeeDee” and me “Uncle Lenny”, and to this day they still call me Uncle Lenny (Laughs).

All these kids…I’d see them, you know, all over and they all come up and most of them will put their arm around me and give me a big hug, but it’s just, I think I have more grownups since I was married then what I did when I was a kid.

For fun DeeDee and I like to sleep. (Laughter)
