I Met My Wife at IBM

Sidney, Ohio is where I met my wife, Rosalie Luthman. Well, she worked as a key punch and I fixed them, so… (Laughter) We worked in various – at that time we covered quite an area of small businesses as far as IBM. It was all the old punch cards, so I serviced them and she was an operator. Yep, we got married in 1960 and we had a daughter in 1962, and a boy in 1964, and a boy in 1965.

Initially we moved to Sidney. I worked there for two years. Then in about ’62 we moved back to Findlay.

At that time Findlay at Marathon got the first big computer at that time so I went to school on it and so we moved back to Findlay in ’62 and we kind of lived in the country there almost all our lives in two different houses. So, the kids are brought up kind of in the country but not on a farm, but outside of town about three miles.
