A Housing Vacancy Turns into a Romance

I met Lori, who is a hair stylist. She used to cut my hair. She still cuts my hair. So, quick version of the story – it is a good story. I used to always go in, this was back – probably started seeing her about the late ‘70s or early ‘80s – I would always go in and get my hair cut and always wanted to ask her out, but she always had a boyfriend.

So one day I went in and she said that she needed to move out of the place that she was renting and if I found any place – or knew of anything, to let her know.

Coming back from that appointment, driving into the driveway behind the place that I was renting at the time, there was another little house behind it. As I pulled in, the lady that lived in that little house behind mine walked out and said she had to move out and do I know anybody that wants to move in.

So I said “you bet I do!” So went back in and called Lori, told her this place was for rent, so she moved in. Then we got to know each other better and I was able to start going out with her when she was in between other boyfriends. It was an amazing timing coincidence.
