I met Rob in 1961. We were married in 62. His family had moved down from the Oakland/Piedmont area to the Santa Cruz Mountains where they lived on a ranch. When I was first married we lived on several ranches. I loved the country.

My husband was a car salesman and managed dealerships. He managed one that was now where the police station is. For a while he worked in Salinas, but for a good time we worked close to one another.

Then I had the five children and they have all gone two schools around here. I moved to Oregon in 1984. I had started working in the tannery in 1976. I lived in Oregon for seven years, and then my husband died. He passed away at 49; very young. I was only 48.
