I just went to high school. I was a goof – off. When it was time to graduate, I lacked one credit. So I had to go back and take another semester of something; I don’t even remember what it was.

During high school, I worked in the theater, and I had a car. We live just a block away from the school but I used to drive there! One day, my car wouldn’t start so I came in late. At school the Secretary said “Frank, how can you be late? I can see your house from here.”

I told her that my car wouldn’t start. She looked at me with amazement and said: “you have to drive to school?” I just did dumb things like that.

The first car I had was a model to the Ford. It had a crank and oh, boy did you have to know how to crank it! When I came home and night in the winter, and race the engine real hard then pull the choke. That would help because in the morning there would be some gas in the cylinders, and it would start OK.

I had a great life.  I had a lot of good breaks, some bad ones, but most them were pretty good. No complaints.
My wife was good, and I had a good girl friend.  I had a hell of a life.
