I went to high school in Fort Collins. Well, it was a little bigger than Fort Laramie and Wyoming but we always had fun. It wasn’t such a big time that we were afraid to go anywhere. Or, at that time you weren’t afraid to go anywhere night or day.

No, I was better in math than I was anything else. I got another guy through math, one of the other students. We were at a reunion – I think when it was our 40th reunion – and he made the remark about how I got him through math!

We had fun. After high school I worked in Denver a while and then I went into the Navy.
