I Felt Caught Between Two Different School Systems

I just wanted to do some writing and thought it would be interesting. That was the thing that he would do for me. Liberty - Rossen School was out of sync with the rest of the schools in the county.
In those days, the schools were much smaller than they are now. One year they would teach physics, and the next year they would teach chemistry. I was in college prep and of course needed both of those things.
But Rossen was out of sync with the rest of the county, so the year that the county, the other schools in the county were teaching physics, Rossen was teaching chemistry, and vice versa. And when we came over here and I went to Liberty to school, they were teaching chemistry which I had already had the previous year.
So I had to change my course and they put me in a general course, you know just taking what was available to fill out for graduation. I was out of school for eight years, and… when we moved into town, to Rossen, my brother took on all of the paper routes in Rossen.
