My name is Tisa, I was born in the city of Rochester, New York on June of 1961. I recollect once in my childhood, an memory from the age of 5 years when I first entered into kindergarten. Myself and my twin sister Dorothy, of whom is nick named Dottie ,along with my older sister Veronica, of whom is nick named Roni. Me, dottie and roni were coming home from school and it was very cold out this memory stuck with me because of the cold winter day when this incident occurred. We was walking and suddenly roni began running so fast that she almost left me and dottie behind, we could barely keep up with her. Roni ran into one of the projects and A girl named Peaches and her two brothers Johnny and Tide, wanted to beat roni up because peaches did not like her and was jealous of her. They cornered us in the projects and they began to hit roni and then they came towards me and peaches said don’t hit her she is cross eyed. I’ll never forget hearing peaches say that I was cross eyed, this was one of me first recollection of my earliest school memories. In that time in my generation about 1968 we had black and white TV and we listened to the radio for entertainment,in my elementary school years, Mother whom is nick named Moni, had portraits of these three civil rights leaders ,John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., I remember clearly my mother crying once and saying someone shot Dr. King, at this time in age I thought he was mentioning a Doctor that worked at a Hospital. My mother, cried and kept saying they killed Dr. King. My Favorite subjects in school. Writing was my first passion I began to write down my feelings and emotions and keep a diary, developing a passion for writing poetry, songs, my diary. What could be passed on to the younger generation is that Education is an afforded opportunity and that how you first start out is pretty mush how you will end up as far as studying, concentrate basically on what you are good at, do well in it, study hard and you will move onto the next grade.
