I’m Grateful for my Strict Upbringing

I wish I could tell my parents that I’m grateful for the strict upbringing they gave me. I don’t think they knew it, but I think it’s a good thing. I’m grateful for Bill and my children and my grandchildren.

Bill and I will turn to each other so often and say: “gosh, we’re lucky!”

One of the reasons for coming down to Todos Santos Mexico is that we are not sure that America will be as good to our grandchildren as it has been to us. We’d like them to have a safe place to come. We have gotten politically active since moving to Prineville, Oregon.

Since September 11, the USA is wack-o, as far as I’m concerned. I love my country but I fear my government. I want our grandchildren to be safe.
