Grateful for my Wife and Family

Well, I’m grateful for my wife and family. Out of seven boys they all come out of there pretty healthy. It took a toll on her.

When she had the twins the doctor said, “Don’t worry about that weight. We’ll get that weight off of her,” but we never did.

Then of course now, she’s not very active. She can’t be active. So, I’m kind of worried about her because she’s a prime target for stroke or heart attack. She really huffs and puffs now just walking across the living room. She’s on a walker at home, but she can’t use a walker here. She wouldn’t be able to walk from here to the front door.

And she’s four years younger than I am. That’s my heaviest load.

I’ve had a lot of private talks with our family doctor about her. Like he says, he can’t raise his arms and wave a wand and expect that weight to go away. He’s suggested some specialists and this and that would help her but she won’t have no part of it. That’s my biggest load.

No, it’s been a cornery road in our younger days, but we made it. Yeah, 52 years.
