Thankful for my Jewels

I give thanks for my children, for the health that I have; every morning I thank the Lord that I am still working and everything is still working.

I had had my eyes operated on. I thank Him for my eyes every single morning. I thank Him for my eyes, my body, for my children, my grandchildren, my great-grandchildren, and my friends.

Those are more important than your house or your clothes or your car or anything, is people. The people in your life.

I thank God that I had a faith to rely on. Without my faith…man, I would never have made it. I never would have made it. So, those are my things.

There is a story they told me in grade school that a Grecian lady was showing off all her jewelry to this other lady and the other lady she said, “These are my jewels!” and the other lady put her arms around her two children and said, “These are my jewels!” and that’s the way that I feel. That’s the way I feel.
