I joined IBM and that was probably the big thing in my life. Of course at the time you didn’t really think about that even being a lifetime job or a good job because they in them days were not that great. Started out at $235 a month for a couple years.
But, the way it turned out it ended up one of the few companies, probably, where you worked all your life and retired.
And I still have a pension, so that’s probably the big thing. We never really moved. We built a new house in ’67, but overall there was no big things probably happening in our life during that time.
It’s hard to come up with any highs and lows. We had no really bad situations like, no deaths close other than your typical; my mother died when I was 16, my father was 91 and died in ’92, so…there was no critical things like job loss or anything so. Life really wasn’t too exciting I guess.
