Through The War, He Worked On A Lot Of Things That He Couldn’t Talk About.

Bill was never in the service.  He was 4F.  He’d go down and they would examine him and send him through all their tests and they’d turn him down.  He was in a motorcycle wreck as a kid wrecked his wrist.  His hand was damaged so he couldn’t hold a gun good but it might have been something with his heart too.  But anyway, he was 4F all the way through the war.

That left him home working in the defense industry.  He never went to college but he was smart and always worked his way up.  The picture above is one of the printers he worked with at Northrup.  He said they were plotting bomb trajectories with it.  Through the war, he worked on a lot of things that he couldn’t talk about.
