John Keoni Brown December 7,  1941    Japanese Attacks Pearl Harbor

     At age 13, John was just a young teenage boy; and  he grew  up in Honolulu, Hawaii. One event that he so vividly remembered was

the  day  that  took place, on Sunday December 7, 1941. He had witnessed the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor, with their surprise

attack. This occurrence was a most tragic and  a very frightening day. He did recall the Japanese pilots, flying their planes low;

 wearing these goggles like kamikaze pilots. They were bombing, and attacking Pearl Harbor. Franklin D. Roosevelt was

the President at that time. Thus, that was the onset of World War II. The bombing of Pearl Harbor was an event never to forget, with

great loss of life. John just accounts that day, the most horrific day witnessed!
