I’ve always been a guy who wants to explore, and wants to see what’s over the next hill. I still love getting into the car and finding out what’s there. With power new technology you can find out the history of the area where you’re at. You can find out stories of what it was like in the early days in that area.
On my trip to Mexico, I went into an insurance company where they had a huge map with pieces of paper for every turn in the highway all the way from El Paso to Veracruz. It was all charted out; it had historic dates. It was a blow by blow description of every important event that happened along the highway. It had suggestions for where to eat, wineries to visit, battle sites, and more.
When I went to Minneapolis, the automobile club does something like that. They will customize of a book for you.
There are so many experiences that I want my kids to see, do, and enjoy. Already they love the Monterey bay aquarium which is a really special place. The boys like to get out into nature and hike. They have their little backpacks, flashlights, and canteens.
They seem to like to read a lot. We read to them all the time.
I like this idea of starting children later in life, although I’m a little worried I might not be able to keep up with them. Rafael can already outrun me.
For young people who are worried about getting married, I see nothing wrong with holding off for a few years until you’re ready.
