The greatest thing I’ve learned about the sober is being honest. That’s why I’m glad I’m writing my great life story. I’m not trying to preach. I’ve told my kids everything but I want them to have this recording for this book.

It’s important for your children to know who you really what they think you are. With my kids, so far so good, all three of them. My daughter is 38 and lives there; my first ex-wife lives there also in the same little town. They get along great.

When I was growing up there used to be a TV show called This is Your Life. That’s basically what I’m talking about right now. It’s interesting because I’m no different than anyone else. I’ve had good times, bad times and now I’m on the good side. I plan to stay there.

Health-wise I’ve never had anything major go wrong with me. But four years ago I did have a horrible car accident. I totaled the company vehicle. I could have been killed, but I wasn’t.

In my mind I’m here to be a good example to my children. A lot of people never get this chance. I’d take my life one day at a time. I’m glad to be alive and I’m glad that I have love in my life.
