“If you set a good example, they will be fine.” Don’t live by those words.
To be a good parent, you have to do what you think is best for you. You can’t say: “those Thompson’s, there all the same.”
Every one of the Thompsons is different. You can’t presume anything.
One year, Sally took me up to NASA where they made the spacesuits. She tried one on, and I got to hold the moon rocks. Sally had to take them on rocks home with her. It was an aluminum case with a lock on it. She told me: “you hold this, and I’ll take your picture!”
Sometimes your kids might get you down. Don’t let them get you down. I don’t. I’m a star!
