Well, I didn’t like to milk cows and so I was delegated to washing all the dishes at supper time!!

Then my sister would go out and milk. My mother and father were very hard workers and I think we always thought of ourselves as being poor but we probably were similar to other families that you didn’t realize that you were poor.
