I lived in a new housing track in West Covina directly backed up to the people who did the subdivision. I just loved Pat Sappenfield and her husband. They were always so nice to me. Our childhood home was on Craig Drive off of Francisquito. We had a high brick wall between the houses.
We loved all of our neighbors except the town bullies on the next street over. They were kinda wierd and always causing trouble. They really couldn’t help it there mom was so nuts she cut off her husband’s finger. Guess he won’t point that finger at her again. I pray the family is doing well. One of the brothers put my brother in the hospital requiring surgery and six weeks of recovery on summer.
Of the 8 houses on our block, four were either military or police. I loved them all. It was just hard growing up where there was such a black mark on the street. Firstly my dad died, my brothers best friend hung himself (fisher), my neighbor ’s younge son on the corner went off a cliff in the mountains where we would always vacation. Lastly my brothers and I saw the accidental death of my mother’s very good friend who had asked her to marry her. He landed on a gas powered chain saw, that my brother could not get out of his stomach. He couldn’t get it out or turn it off and the screaming was direct from hell itself. I called the police at only 10 or 11, while tring to keep my brother from looking. No matter how many times I got him down, he had to watch. No wonder I couldn’t remember my childhood untill I was 18 without EMDR and regression therapy. I recommend it for anyone with PTS Post Tramatic Stress Syndrom.
