I was a pretty good kid most of the time. I’m an only child and we kind of were struggling to keep ends meet. My dad would bring the food home and we’d try to be very frugal.
I guess that’s why I am still kind of frugal today to do the best we can with what we have, and I went to a little school - it would be a suburb of Green Bay - called Allouez Elementary School, and had many teachers up until the 8th grade. From 8th grade we went to a junior high in Green Bay, Washington Junior High School, and then from there I went into Green Bay East High School. I belonged to the rainbow girls; that they would be, with the Masonic Lodge.
My father and my mother were involved with the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star a lot, so I became one of – The Rainbows are here in Ohio, but I believe in Wisconsin they are called “Job’s Daughters” and so I was involved in that kind of an activity as an outside, and we were very – we belonged to the United Church of Christ and so we were involved in a lot of the church activities.
Even when I go back yet we always try to go to that church. When we went maybe three years with my dad that was a big thing. That was on our agenda to go because he was very involved and he was on a committee many times to get a new pastor and that kind of thing, so…we did a lot of that.
