I don’t remember much about growing up as a kid, I used to follow a team of horses to work ground down years ago when I was a kid. I was maybe nine or ten years old.
But, when I was five years old a horse threw me off and smashed my ribs. My ribs are made like that instead of being flat.
My brother and I were out getting cows. We had to go about a mile and a half back in the hills to get our cows, milk cows in the pasture field, and we’d take them in and milk them, take them back the next day. We’d leave them in there over night. So that’s about all I had growing up.
My dad? I don’t ever remember him working.
All the other brothers were gone; they were out on their own. I had a younger sister, she and I were home at that time, but as far as the rest of it I don’t remember too much about growing up.
